one [video/Action for Base]
[The video turns on to a pink-haired girl who is positively scowling. If it's any guess by her miserable expression, she hasn't had a very pleasant morning.]
See, a real kidnapping wouldn't come with fancy gadgets and my own private room. If you guys were really true about keeping me, the least you could have done was stored me up in one of the ships. Don't you guys know how easy it is to escape on land?
Even with the plates shifting, the most you're risking is the building. [And with that, she shrugs, looking away with a forced sense of boredom.] I'll give you all three hours to alert Dewey before I find a way to alert him myself; and you do not want him to find out I'm gone.
But in those three hours, you also need to go find my dog. [The gear spins rather quickly, focusing on a Zangoose sitting on the floor. It looks pretty bored, actually.] This is not my dog. It's not a dog at all. I don't know what it is, but if it ate Gulliver, I'm killing it.
[And the gear goes back to her. She holds up her hand, signaling with three fingers.]
This many hours. Starts... now.
[And after the transmission ends, Anemone has decided to abandon the Zangoose, her room, and everything besides the gear in favor of roaming the base.]

Also, I think this is less a kidnapping and more a random weird natural disaster. Maybe. No one really knows.
But you shouldn't get pissed at the Zangoose, and that's it.
no subject
So you're saying we're here because of some natural disaster? Like what, plates shifting, dropping people in other people's houses?
no subject
[That's normal to say right]
no subject
[She bursts out laughing. Totally not normal, bro.]
no subject
Besides, it's more like a random fantasy land you find in your sock drawer or something, only none of us got a choice.
no subject
[It got her to to stop laughing, at least. But now she's pouting a little.]
So you got up and swept away too?
no subject
[Kirikou no]
Yeah- basically everyone you talk to on this network is in the same boat as you. Well, sorta. Some people have been here for a while. Apparently it's just as random when you go back home.
no subject
[She'll hit you >8( ]
...So you come here at random and you leave just as randomly? Weird.
no subject
And yeah. I'm just treating it like a vacation honestly, since it's not like us being here changes anything back home.
no subject
[She doesn't even know where anything is. Day one, already threatening violence; it's been a good start.]
Wait, what do you mean nothing changes?
no subject
[Things Kirikou learned early on: picking fights everywhere gets you in trouble with the Jennys.]
Well... Okay, first of all, do they have video games where you're from? It's important for the metaphor I got.
no subject
But uh-- [And she pauses awkwardly here.] ...where's Cianwood or Olivine?
[Give her a moment to think.]
Hmm... You mean like those things they have at old arcades?
no subject
[But METAPHOR TIME, right, he gots this]
Sure, let's go with that. Basically when this place yanks you from your world, it's like they pressed the "pause button" on it. Everything's stopped, no one will notice that you left.
no subject
...Oh! I get it. So we're kinda dreaming, huh?
no subject
I dunno, seems pretty real to me.
no subject
[She thinks on this.]
...so it's an out of body experience then? It's gotta be something.
no subject
...Hey, you know what, it's as good an explanation as any, y'know? Sure, outta body experience.
no subject
Works for me! Well, I hope it's fun in any case.

[Sulks.] I'll find you!

video;
In any case, unless Gulliver is actually a snake, I don't think it would attack your pet. Things from home don't show up here. I thought it was just weapons but if your dog isn't here animals must count as well.
Not that this place makes any logical sense but you get used to how strange it is a the very least.
video;
So what, I just got magically sent here and there's no way to go home?
video;
Well I'm not exactly going to stop you from trying to find a way out. But that thing you have with you helps make things entertaining around here. I have a porcupine that's on fire myself, along with another one.
Might not be your dog, but I bet your dog is fine.
video;
[They can do that? She looks at the Zangoose, then back at the gear.]
...So what's the catch?
video;
[And to prove his point, he turns the video of the 'Gear to show off the Cyndaquil that is lazily napping on the floor. That sure is a tiny thing on fire all right.]
Besides the fact that there doesn't appear to be an easy way out of this place, I suppose the fact that you'll run into people who will insist that their monsters fight yours is something of a catch. They don't take no for an answer.
video;
...Man, I wish mine could do that.
[and there's an eyebrow-raising.] So they're gonna challenge me regardless? Guess I should learn how to beat them quickly, huh?
video;
The good news is that they're easy to beat. You shouldn't have a hard time doing it, and they give you money when you beat them. Not a lot, but it adds up after a while.
video;
[She looks positively thrilled.]
video;
You should be able to find people on the routes outside of any town. They're always pretty eager to battle in my experience.

video;
Let me know how your first battle goes. I haven't been here long myself, but I have a decent grasp on battling.
The name's Adamska, by the way.
video;
Will do! I'm Anemone. Nice to meet ya, Adamska!
